Genius

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Hello all!

Did you see the Washington Post’s Home Section today?? There was a great story about Annie Selke, the creator and genius behind Dash and Albert, Pinecone Hill and Potluck Studios.? Our friend Terri did a fantastic job introducing Annie.? She is fascinating and she is EVERYWHERE!? I just got Coastal Living yesterday and her rugs were on the cover and strewn throughout the pages.? Her fabrics grace the cover of House Beautiful this month as well.? There is not a month or magazine that goes by that she is not featured somehow.

How do people do it?? Is it business savvy, intestinal fortitude, vision, talent, luck, or a combination of all those things?? I would love to know the secret and where I can get whatever she has!? : )? BTW, she did this all with a 2 1/2 year old daughter…

Anyway, if you would like to get a little piece of Annie’s work, then stop by the store.? We currently have a sample of 80% of the 170 rugs styles.? Soon we will have one of every style on the floor.?? What we like to do is let our customers borrow the 2×3’s to take home?and try out for size, color, design, etc.?? Any of the rugs can be ordered in sizes up to 9×12 for cotton rugs and 10×14 for wool rugs.? There are runners and rug pads as well.? Bags, pillows and cotton throws are also available to order.? The best thing about this company, other than their happy designs,?is how quickly they get to us.? In some cases we have ordered on a Monday and received them by Friday!? The process is super easy.

If you’d like more information or would like to borrow a sample or two please call or swing by the store any time and one of our staff would be happy to help.? I’ll be there Saturday afternoon and would love to help you match fabrics and paint with these great rugs.

See you all soon!? Amy

PS – look for Pinecone Hill coming soon…
