Jalapeno Ketchup
Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, Chef Walter Brooks grew up with jalapeños as a staple of the household, with its moderate heat and fresh flavor. Those taste memories led him to this adventurous, yet balanced, tomato condiment. Try it on your burgers, hot dogs, plant-based sandwiches, or sausage rolls, dunk fries in it, or serve it as a sweet-and-spicy chutney alongside Indian, Middle Eastern, or African cuisine. As delicious with fritters and samosas as with good old chicken nuggets!
For a quick and hearty meal, add to browned ground turkey, onions, black beans and corn kernels and simmer in vegetable broth or water.
