Our Design Collective

Lindsay Boudreaux of Shotgun Double

Shotgun Double provides casually elegant, efficient, and intensely livable interior design to families throughout the D.C. metro area. At the helm of Shotgun Double is Lindsay Boudreaux, a fully certified and licensed interior designer with nearly twenty years of experience. Born and raised in the deep South, among the practical, often whimsical, and humbly elegant shotgun houses of New Orleans, Lindsay found the vernacular architecture to be a perfect metaphor for her design M.O. Her designs incorporate elements of proper scale and symmetry, thoughtful use of color and light, functional space planning and, above all, meaningful, personal reflections of her clients through the use of furnishings, accessories, and artwork.

Regan Billingsley of Regan Billingsley Interiors

Regan Billingsley Interiors was built upon the belief that our homes should be a true reflection of the way we live, and that beauty need not be sacrificed for practicality. By blending a thoughtful selection of furnishings, antiques, found objects, and natural elements with a masterful mix of patterns, colors, and scale, RBI creates homes that combine the tailored style of the East Coast with the laid-back lifestyle of California. Every space is layered, lived-in, and full of life.

Kate Hougen of Mira Jean Designs

An artist at heart, Kate started by launching her own boutique line of textiles and wallcoverings. People kept asking her to help them with the design and decor of their own homes. Eventually, she started taking on official residential projects beginning with her client's children's bathroom. Upon completing that project, the same client hired Kate to re-do her entire house. They renovated the basement and main level, and updated her kitchen, living room, dining room, sitting room, foyer, front porch and other areas. The end product was featured in Arlington Magazine's Best of 2020 Issue: Basement Beauty. Recently, Mira Jean Designs' wallpaper collection was recognized as Arlington Magazine's Editor's Pick for Best of Arlington 2021.
