During the shutdown my daughter, Kate, and I looked to Helen Olivia for a delightful distraction. They pivoted brilliantly by bringing their workshops to our homes and I will be forever grateful. Kate and I were on a regular schedule of floral workshops that kept our spirits up. Virtually every week a bucket of flowers would arrive at our door bring us a little ray of sunshine. For one hour we didn’t have to think about all the terribleness that was surrounding us, and we could be creative and joyful. They were a lifeline for us both and I will always have fond memories from each class.
