September 08, 2021 Farmhouse Pottery Trunk Show Last Thursday, I dropped my son – my firstborn, my baby boy – off at college in Vermont. If you have ever done it, then you know how hard it is. If you’ve never done it, then start preparing yourself now. Though really nothing really prepares you for it. I have to say, leaving him to fend for himself in a new place with big new responsibilities was one of the hardest things I have ever done. To say it was bittersweet would be an understatement. I ached with sadness but also was filled with pride and excitement for what he had accomplished and for what lay ahead of him. To reward myself for doing a hard thing – or really to distract myself – I made a pitstop at Farmhouse Pottery on my drive home. It did not disappoint. If you know the brand, then you know they hand throw all their pottery in their studio/storefront in Woodstock, VT, a charming hamlet about an hour and a half from Burlington. During the creation, each piece of pottery is touched 25 times before it is finished. If you visit the store, you can peek in and watch as they take a lump of clay and turn it into something beautiful. We love Farmhouse Pottery not just because they have an incredible product but because they are great partners. In fact, we are once again partnering with them to bring you all another trunk show, and we could not be more excited! From September 6 to 12, save 15 percent on select Farmhouse Pottery pieces found on our website. We have a few pieces in stock, but beyond that, we will be special ordering what we don’t have on the floor. What makes this trunk show special is that Farmhouse Pottery is setting aside a few select items that they don’t usually wholesale to their retail partners. That means a wider selection of goodies for you to purchase at the special trunk show price!
